What is coaching?
Human beings have a tendency to unconsciously hold on to habitual ways and to resist change. Albert Einstein stated, " The significant problems we face in life cannot be solved at the same level of thinking that created them." As 90% of our thought and communication process is unconscious, working with this unconscious realm is necessary to create more choice and personal alignment.
Leaders make decisions constantly, they need to rely on and trust their inner knowledge. The same power of inner knowing can also limit one from being objective and truly incorporating new perceptions. What we fail to notice can instantly limit the range of business success. Because four eyes see better than two, new possibilities and opportunities can be invoked and implemented in a clear step-by step coaching procedure.
A leaders capabilities reflect his thinking styles. Consciously influencing thought is an integral part of the coaching process. Ever-increasing success comes from ever-expanding openness to reach out of one's own world and invite other perspectives.
A coach is a master listener. She understands that language shapes our reality. Language can be a self-fulfilling prophecy. A coach listens for congruency in our words and actions. The capabilities of a leader derive of his ways of thinking. A coach is a master at shifting the paradigm and so the patterns and structures of our inner world that determine our actions. He holds the coachee's vision and reminds him in a way only someone else can do.
